MS SQL Developer/Analyst REQ#4947

Full Time at Technology Solutions Group

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, the MS SQL Developer/Analyst will be responsible for and will perform system functions including:

Support and troubleshoot existing MS SQL

Analyze data transactions

Create new MS SQL solutions, write scripts, joins, views, tables, indexes, triggers, foreign keys, etc.  

Maintain and code stored procedures and functions per business requirements

Interface with IBMi, developers, and other vendor applications

Test software updates on test platform before implementing

Provide scenarios and feedback on issues to software vendors

Work with customers, users, and vendors to determine root cause of issues

Participate in application evaluation and testing 

Develop reports and spreadsheets using complex SQL Server queries

Employ SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for customized reporting

Convert Crystal Reports to SSRS reports

Import/Export/Massage/Manipulate data among various data sources and destinations such as Excel, IBMI, ODBC, or similar interface

Perform complex integration and programming using Windows OS and 3rd party vendor applications

Work in conjunction with Active Directory Administrators to coordinate user access and authorities

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Program Management


 Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·Required: Two or more years of experience:  MS SQL, SQL Server, and DB2 for I, and experience bringing data from one database to another via mapping techniques  


Databases:  MS SQL and DB2 for IBMi

Languages/Programming:  T-SQL, Java script, XML, RPG/Free 

Applications:  Sungard HTE, Hawkeye, City Works, Business Intelligence (BI) reporting

Networking:  SFTP 

Systems:  IBM
