Administration Inventory Purchasing Coordinator REQ#4944

Within the spirit of "Making Us America’s Healthiest Hometown", work directly with Purchasing Supervisor by providing analysis of inventory for all associated locations. Inventory/Purchasing Coordinator will be key go to team member for inventory analytics. Inventory/Purchasing Coordinator will be lead on creation of par / stocking levels with guidance and direction provided by Purchasing Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Must have reliable transportation to travel between designated locations.

1. Job responsibilities include but not limited to procurement and inventory management. Candidate must have excellent attention to detail and easily take direction. Ability to exercise independent judgment.

2. Monitors and maintains records of materials in inventory. Reconciles discrepancies in inventory and notifies supervisor or irregularities. Ensures that data is properly entered and maintained.

3. Determines and maintains appropriate par levels for medical soft goods/supplies at designated sites as determined by on-going usage analysis.

4. Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing data, problem identification and resolution and ability to generate clear/concise reports indicating key issues to management/ department heads.

5. Establish solid relationships with internal department leaders and external suppliers to support ordering system process, resolution of delivery issues, quality issues, item data maintenance, and optimization of inventory levels.

6. Facilitates creation of purchasing/vendor files – making sure that all required documentation is received and accurate.

7. Assists in data entry and updates to for any potential issues relating to the delivery of patient orders.

8. Other duties as assigned or approved by Purchasing Supervisor.

Educational/Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent preferred. Two to five years of related inventory / purchasing experience required. Healthcare / medical experience is desirable. Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel. Proficient in database management is desirable. Candidate must be able to manage multiple task requests and changing priorities.  Proven experience as a self-starter who can meet provided deadlines is a must.
