The purpose of this position is to perform loan reviews and prepare files for submission to the Underwriter for approval. This person will represent the community in a professional manner that encourages The Villages Sales Representatives to bring their customers to Citizens First Bank for a mortgage.

Represent Citizens First Bank by providing extreme, plus 1 customer service to both internal and external customers in an efficient and friendly manner either face to face or by telephone. Display a positive demeanor, smile, call the customer by name and thank them for their business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Make a follow-up call within 72 hours of mailing disclosures to determine ETA timeline for return of signed disclosures and supporting documentation. Review and scan signed initial disclosure package returned by the applicant. Upload, organize and label the initial disclosures to the electronic filing cabinet. Answer questions regarding documents and follow through with E-Consent process if needed. Analyze income and asset verifications and update the loan origination system. Upload, organize and label supporting documentation to the electronic filing cabinet. Meet with the Mortgage Loan Originator weekly to review pipeline. Submit mortgage loan application file for final underwriting approval. Obtain any additional documentation from applicant as requested by underwriting. Position specific compliance and other trainings as required. Other duties as assigned Processing Lead - in addition to the above Processing duties: Provides direct support to the processing team as directed by the Processing Manager. Makes applicable corrections to Encompass as needed. Responds to daily questions from the processing team and addresses any unresolved issues to the Processing Manager. Identifies applicable topics for the monthly team meeting and assists the Processing Manager with the meeting agenda. Assists the Processing Manager with LOS training of new team members

Requirements:

Minimum: High school degree or equivalent required. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills. Must have computer experience and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and able to learn different software applications as needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as commissions and percentages. Preferred: Basic knowledge of Fannie Mae (FNMA) guidelines and Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS). Processing Lead: Minimum: Current processing experience of three years or more is required. High school degree or equivalent required. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills. Must have computer experience and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and able to learn different software applications as needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as commissions and percentages. Preferred: Basic knowledge of Fannie Mae (FNMA) guidelines and Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) and five years of current processing experience.

Other requirements:

Knowledge of the following Laws/Regulations: Compliance with and successful completion of all trainings related to Bank Secrecy Act laws/regulations.
