Part Time at Barnstorm Theater

The primary function of this position is to support the movie theatre management with daily operations of the facility, including opening and closing procedures. Must possess the ability to effectively train new hires to perform their specific job description duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform functions of Movie Theatre Staff Member during assigned shifts when needed. Coordinate with co-managers on duty regarding all daily operations in the facility.

Conduct staff line-ups and training sessions as directed by house management. Conduct employee reviews.

Build weekly employee schedule and minor break schedule. Monitor guest flow and adjust existing schedule accordingly.

Possess the ability to handle all guest comments and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

Open and/or close the theatre…which would require unlocking and/or locking the facility and ensuring proper accounting procedures are completed and correct.

Secure building and all monies at business day close. Make necessary bank deposits. Efficient and accurate cash handling is required.

Possess the ability to tactfully coach employees as needed. Be able to successfully distinguish “Need-to-Know” items, as well as maintain confidentiality.

Possess a “core ideology” aligned attitude. Be able to accurately count and assess inventory daily.

Assist co-managers with communication flow within the facility. Assist with monthly inventory assessment.

Assist house management with weekly ordering. Proof newspaper ads daily for consistency to current program schedule.

Maintain and manage the cleanliness of the facility and its extensions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervise other theatre staff during assigned management shifts  Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

Training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems, either employee or guest related

Make recommendations on hiring and/or terminating employment

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) .

One year related experience and/or training.  Knowledge of theatre positions is preferred.
