Full Time at Citizens First Bank in Spanish Springs

Provides extreme plus 1 customer service at a teller window while accurately and expeditiously processing a variety of retail banking transactions. Maintains control of cash, performs various teller-related operational tasks, displays a positive upbeat demeanor, meets all CFB Teller Standards and adheres to compliance requirements.

 Essential Roles/Responsibilities as follows:

1. Follows the Bank’s CIP to obtain assurance that the customer is properly identified 2. Queries the customer(s) stated purpose/reason/objective for conducting transactions, such as wires and large cash deposits or withdrawals or other transactions requested by the customer 3. Reports any unusual or suspicious customer activity to BSA, Compliance and/or Security 4. Maintains security of the working environment while meeting CFB Teller Standards. This may include, but is not limited to, balancing daily with minimal differences and/or errors and adherence to all CFB Teller Policies and procedures 5. Processes a variety of transactions including, but not limited to, general paying and receiving items, utility payments and foreign and consignment items in accordance with CFB policy and procedure 6. Adheres to all compliance requirements including, but not limited to, preparing Currency Transaction Reports and placing appropriate holds 7. Further assists customers by listening to their needs, identifying products/services that meet or exceed those needs and directing them to the appropriate department or individual (i.e., loans, new accounts, trust, investments, etc.) 8. Opens and closes branch under dual control as needed 9. Position specific compliance and other trainings as required 10. Other duties as assigned

May handle or assist with more complex transactions. 1. Act as branch level teller trainer 2. Assist Head Teller and assume responsibilities when needed

In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required:

Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent required, two years of teller experience in a banking environment. Must be able to withstand varying degrees of stress, must be able to attend work regularly and on time and perform position requirements with little supervision. Must have the ability to meet and greet internal and external customers in a professional, positive manner, ability to communicate effectively, ability to function as a member of a team including participating in branch activities and displaying positive behavior. Must have the ability to be flexible by being able to adjust adeptly to changing priorities, ability to effectively provide guidance and direction to Level I and Level II Tellers, ability to backup leadership position (Head Teller). Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), good typing skills and skilled in using a 10-key calculator. Preferred: Four years of teller experience in a banking or related environment.
