Advertising Account Executive REQ#4878

Full Time at Villages Media Management

In the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, the top candidate for this position will sell advertising for The Villages Daily Sun newspaper.  This individual will acquire new advertising and develop strategies for clients to best reach their target customer while achieving budgeted revenue goals.

The top candidate for this position is self-motivated, well-organized, excellent with time management, must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment with daily deadlines, has a positive attitude, a desire to grow professionally and is driven to succeed. Looking for strong "hunters" who can find and engage new prospects and turn them into lasting customers.

In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required:

· Two years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

· Previous experience in sales, advertising, marketing, or other related field a plus

· Must be able to navigate and utilize Microsoft Office programs

· Must have effective verbal and written communication skills

· Must have a valid driver’s license with a record acceptable to company standards

Employee must travel from customer to customer in their own personal vehicle.  The Villages will reimburse the employee on the actual mileage of utilization based on the rate set by The Villages at that time.  Employee will act in a responsible way in the operation of their vehicle by complying with state laws including providing personal insurance on their vehicle, proper use of the restraints when operating the vehicle and will not text while driving.  The Villages will not be responsible for providing personal auto insurance or any loss or expense that may result in the use of the employee’s vehicle.

Schedule:  Monday through Friday

Compensation:  Salary plus commission
