Full Time at Commercial Property Management

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True,” under supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Assistant Facilities Manager supports the facilities organization at a specific location, set of buildings or campus environment.  The Assistant Facilities Manager is charged with supporting the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures and programs that provide a well-managed and well-maintained asset.  In addition, positively responds to the concerns and needs of tenants and vendors to ensure delivery of Raving Fans Customer Service for internal and external customers.

Essential Roles/Responsibilities as follows:

Ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility(s), including janitorial, life-safety, engineering, site services and general maintenance are implemented and carried out in a manner consistent with The Villages standards.

Ensure all contracts are reviewed on a regular basis and are bid out as required and confirm invoices matching contract pricing

Supervise all maintenance programs relating to the conditions and appearance of the managed assets

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, respond promptly to requests for building maintenance, repairs, cleaning needs, etc. from tenants and for the implementation of ongoing contract programs to address and resolve needs and problems

Assists the Facilities Manager in budget preparation, financial reporting, contracts, expenditures and purchase orders related to the facility(s) as directed.

Proactively inspect facilities, systems, common areas, etc. and report back findings or issues to the Facilities Manager

In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required:

AA degree in Business, Real Estate,  Facility Management or Construction Management preferred

At least one (1) year of related experience and/or training preferred

BOMI, ICSC, IREM, IFMA or other equivalent certifications preferred

Applicant must have strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as excellent written and oral communications skills

Applicant is required to have a valid Florida driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to company standards
