ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Be familiar with common audio gear: Microphones, both dynamic and phantom powered and wireless.  DI boxes, ¼” , XLR, and  NL4  cables. 

Be familiar with running a standard mixing console ( gain, EQ, AUX, BUSS and mains sections.

Be familiar with patching a snake / stage breakout box and running cables to setup a band.  This includes setting mic stands and mics, patching cables and then taping wires down for stage safety.

Be familiar with Commonly used BAND gear and how to connect to them.  For example, how to mic up a guitar amp, how to take a direct out from an amplifier, how to take line outs from a keyboard.

May be asked to run a spotlight or assist setting up a spotlight for a spotlight operator. 

Should be able to setup a stage, then perform a line and sound check, setup monitors and monitor mixes for the stage and then run front of house sound for shows that last between 1 and 4 hours on average. 

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE:

 HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED

18 YEARS OLD

SHOULD HAVE LIVE AUDIO EXPERIENCE SERTTING UP BANDS/SOUND CHECK/RUNNING A LIVE AUDIO SHOW.  FORMAL AUDIO TRAINING/COLEGE IS NOT REQUIRED, BUT COULD TAKE THE PLACE OF SOME LIVE AUDIO EXPERIENCE. 

 Training will be provided for all aspects of the position, but you should already have some basic training and familiarity with the concepts ( band experience, electrical or sound/audio engineering – related fields, etc. )
