The CSR/Teller is a position with the flexibility to float between the CSR and Teller functions of the Branch while adhering to all compliance requirements and CFB Teller Standards.

 Essential Roles/Responsibilities as follows:

1. Provides extreme customer service by establishing and developing goodwill, providing services and responding to problems and inquiries by following these steps: seeks out customer, greets with a smile, calls customer by name and demonstrates awareness of account relationships, identifies customer need(s), recognizes, recommends and delivers product(s) or service(s) within own responsibility, recognizes other opportunities and refers customer to personal banker for those services whenever possible, thanks customer for the opportunity to be of service. 2. Follows the Bank’s CIP to obtain assurance that the customer is properly identified 3. Queries the customer(s) stated purpose/reason/objective for conducting transactions, such as wires and large cash deposits or withdrawals or other transactions requested by the customer 4. Reports any unusual or suspicious customer activity to BSA, Compliance and/or Security 5. Opens all types of checking, money market, savings accounts and Individual Retirement Accounts including ordering customer checks and verifying all signature cards for accuracy, issues and redeems certificates of deposits, provides assistance to Safe Deposits, process, order and prepare all necessary account forms, process customer wire transfer requests, collects money, prepares wire instructions 6. Performs notary service, witnesses’ documents 7. Answers telephone inquiries regarding retail services and performs related clerical duties 8. Assists in problem resolution for customers and seeks assistance with more complex transactions 9. Makes a concerted effort to refer customers to CFWA when it is determined that their resources would be better served with a CFWA 10. Maintains security of the working environment while meeting CFB Teller Standards. This may include, but is not limited to, balancing daily with minimal differences and/or errors and adherence to all CFB Teller Policies and procedures 11. Processes a variety of transactions including, but not limited to, general paying and receiving items, utility payments and foreign and consignment items in accordance with CFB policy and procedure 12. Adheres to all compliance requirements including, but not limited to, preparing Currency Transaction Reports and placing appropriate holds 13. Opens and closes branch under dual control as needed 14. Position specific compliance and other trainings as required 15. Other duties as assigned

 In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required:

High school diploma or equivalent required, one year in a customer service/retail environment and one to two years as a Teller. Must be able to complete ICBA’s Universal Banker Certificate Program within first year of hire. Must be detail oriented, have good general math skills, letter composition and typing skills. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and skilled in using a 10-key calculator. Must be able to withstand varying degrees of stress and must be able to attend work regularly and on time and perform position requirements with little supervision. Must have the ability to meet and greet internal and external customers in a professional, positive manner, ability to communicate effectively, ability to be flexible by being able to adjust adeptly to changing priorities, ability to function as a member of a team including participating in branch activities and displaying positive behavior.

Preferred: Previous two years of experience as a CSR and two years of experience as a Teller in a banking or related environment. Completed ICBA’s Universal Banker Certificate Program and CFT courses in consumer and mortgage lending
