IBMI Systems Administrator REQ#4778

Full Time at The Villages Technology Solutions Group

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, the IBMi Systems Administrator will be responsible for and will perform all IBMi (iSeries – AS/400) systems administration including:

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

· Operating systems upgrades and PTF deployment

· Management of IBMi Advanced Job Scheduler

· Application software installation and updates

· Hardware device configuration and resource allocations

· Security and exit point administration, including Kerberos and LDAP

· Manage and control all backup and restoration processes

· Review system and application logs

· Performance analysis and system tuning for optimum performance

· Assist in problem isolation, definition, resolution

· Work in conjunction with Active Directory Administrators to coordinate user access and authorities

·       Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Program Management

 

     Education and Experience:

   Three years of related experience working with:

· IBMi Operating Systems Administrator functions

· IBMi Navigator

· Candidates must have:

· Strong communication and documentation skills

· Be willing to support periodic on-call problem support

· Be willing to function in a dynamic, fast-paced technology environment

· The following experience is a PLUS:

· IBMi Advanced Job Scheduler

· IBMi Digital Certificate Manager

· IBMi Access Client Solutions – Centralized Management

· IBMi HTTP Administration
