Provides extreme plus 1 customer service at a teller window while accurately and expeditiously processing a variety of retail banking transactions. Maintains control of cash, performs various teller-related operational tasks, displays a positive upbeat demeanor, meets all CFB Teller Standards and adheres to compliance requirements.

Successful candidate will need to perform the essential functions of the job:

1. Follows the Bank’s CIP to obtain assurance that the customer is properly identified 2. Queries the customer(s) stated purpose/reason/objective for conducting transactions, such as wires and large cash deposits or withdrawals or other transactions requested by the customer 3. Reports any unusual or suspicious customer activity to BSA, Compliance and/or Security 4. Maintains security of the working environment while meeting CFB Teller Standards. This may include, but is not limited to, balancing daily with minimal differences and/or errors and adherence to all CFB Teller Policies and procedures 5. Processes a variety of transactions including, but not limited to, general paying and receiving items, utility payments and foreign and consignment items in accordance with CFB policy and procedure 6. Adheres to all compliance requirements including, but not limited to, preparing Currency Transaction Reports and placing appropriate holds 7. Further assists customers by listening to their needs, identifying products/services that meet or exceed those needs and directing them to the appropriate department or individual (i.e., loans, new accounts, trust, investments, etc.) 8. Opens and closes branch under dual control as needed 9. Position specific compliance and other trainings as required 10. Other duties as assigned

Effectively supervises guides, directs and oversees full range of teller operations and services in a branch environment with an emphasis on workflow, compliance and security. Leads by example, ensuring teller staff adheres to all Citizen First Bank (CFB) standards, policies, procedures and systems, involving teller operations and plus 1 extreme customer service functions. Answers questions, oversees balancing and resolves complex problems. 1. Responsible for performing and ensuring deliverance of extreme plus 1 customer service by establishing and developing goodwill, providing services and responding to problems 2. Ensures that teller staff is effective, well trained and optimally utilized. Provides instruction regarding policy, procedure, systems and product lines and ensures that all teller functions are performed correctly and in accordance with CFB policies, procedures and teller standards. 3. Daily supervision of the teller line to include, but not limited to, scheduling, assigning work, distributing workflow, answering questions, investigating out of balance conditions and finding balancing errors 4. Assists tellers and branch managers in resolving more complex transactions and internal/external customer issues or concerns 5. Ensures proper cash reserves, submitting appropriate orders for cash to Teller Operations Manager 6. Maintains inventory of consignment items 7. Balances vault cash daily ensuring compliance with dual control procedures 8. Completes required reports and related documents accurately and timely 9. Makes judgements for Tellers (within limits of authority) pertaining to cashing and/or accepting checks or drafts 10. Responsible for completing teller performance appraisals, assisting with hiring, training and termination decisions

In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required:

High school diploma or equivalent required, two years of teller experience, one year supervisory experience or proven supervisory abilities. Must be able to withstand varying degrees of stress, must be able to attend work regularly and on time and perform positon requirements with little supervision. Must have excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to motivate and lead a team, to include participating in branch activities and displaying positive behaviors. Ability to supervise and effectively resolve conflicts. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to easily adapt to change on a daily basis. Completed CFT classes, Principles of Banking and Supervision. CFB in-house supervision course is acceptable. Acceptable balancing record. Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), good typing skills and skilled in using a 10-key calculator. Preferred: Four years of teller experience with a minimum of one year as Head Teller
