Within the spirit of "Making People's Dreams Come True," the Administrative/Legal Assistant, provides administrative duties for the legal department by performing the following duties.

Preparing basic legal documents, closing documents and correspondence

Duties and Responsibilities:

Answers telephone. Locates and attaches appropriate files to correspondence .

Organize workload of supervising attorney. Composes and types routine correspondence.

Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other records.

Manages Supervisor’s calendar and makes appointments. Greets scheduled visitors and conducts to appropriate area or person.

Arranges and coordinates travel schedules and reservations. Creating regular reports and updating internal databases.

Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials. Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.

Assisting other members of the legal department as necessary.

Education and Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. One to two years related experience and/or training. Must have departmental software computer knowledge (based on department employed by with a minimum of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat). Must be able to use routine office equipment such as printers, copiers and scanners.

Experience in law, real estate closings, corporate work and/or accounting a plus.
