This position is responsible for the product research, development, implementation, maintenance, and operation of technology systems used to originate mortgage loans. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure our internal and external customers have no adverse experiences using any of the systems/applications required to conduct the loan origination process. There are three primary system used by the business to originate loans: Loan Origination System, Point of Sale system, Product/Pricing engine.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Maintain system configurations of the primary mortgage applications that are used on a daily basis to originate loans including: configurations to handle loan products, screen modifications, system level rules, workflow, origination/closing documents, product/pricing, fee structure and security groups 2. Perform due diligence on enhancements and/or new processes that are delivered by the various vendors 3. Manage the day-to-day relationship with the various technology vendors 4. Assist with the project management of systems that integrate with the primary origination systems 5. Research, analyze and solve system or process issues and provide guidance to both the technical and operations staff on the resolutions 6. Conduct testing to ensure the systems and processes work as expected 7. Assist with training of the system’s end users by developing in-house training material or utilizing material produced by the various software providers 8. Produce daily and monthly reports for Loan Operations, Compliance and Administration departments 9. Handle ad hoc research and analysis requests for internal departments 10. Review and implement periodic system enhancements 11. Troubleshoot issues within the primary loan origination systems 12. Position specific compliance and other trainings as required 13. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Two years of experience in a retail mortgage lending environment that consistently originated in excess of 100 loans per month. Must be proficient in report writing by having an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including V-lookup, pivot tables and various functions) or other report writing tools such as Crystal, Tableau, etc. Strong working knowledge of residential mortgage lending documents, processes, lending regulations and standards. Must have excellent customer service, people management, teamwork, and communication skills.
